Topic: And what do you want.....??? Posted: 22 November 2009 at 6:53pm |
Face Painting.
Ok so next weekend I have just been asked to do some facepainting, not too much, only about 6....... hundred Hopefully there will be some help!
The last couple of time's I have done it there has always been at least one request that I get totally stuck with (like Dorothy the dinosaur?) And I hate disappointing.
I am trying to gather a list of as many possible requests so I am well and truly prepared.
My question is, what does your child want painted on their face?

maybe you could have a few that you are willing to do and have some pics for them to choose from.
like a superhero or two (spiderman would be my bet) - dogs - cats - fairies - butterflies - fish - that green one you did (think it was a lizard or something)... that way you wont be surprised and have to come up with a plan.

Yeah I do have a book that has quite a good selection. There will always be the kid that has to have something else. I would be handy to widen my repertoire. I think with 600 kids that would be a lot of spidermans and batmans.
Thanks for the boys ideas!
And rocket - how cute!

yeah... the one thing that i hate about face painters is when they take too long on each child. i know that its not just a slap dash kind of thing but i hate spending half a day in a queue for my kid to have a face paint done. i remember one lady who took forever on each kid, the work was fab but really what did the kids care.
600 kids - i hope you have help too....

Yeah, there should be 4 of us and hopeful not every kid will want theirs done. I have about 3 minutes per child, so will be avoiding any full faces and anything too fancy.

i agree with Bizzy - Ella often misses out cause I cant be bothered standing in a mega queue...I say keep it simple...and not whole face...kids will love a spider etc on their face and hand...and butterflies on thier cheek rather than a whole face done intricately! Parents will appreciate in on many levels!

gabriel wanted a reindeer! something i hadnt even thought of... thought i might tell you that one in case you get some of those requests. He looked cool too - they did a great job!
