ok so i shouldnt complain and not sure if i should contact them and ask or just leave as it is..but my work paid me full pay last fortnight (no they didnt owe it to me at all!) and then today they have paid me just under half what a fortnights pay would be normally....
Ive tried to calculate where the figure has come from as Parental leave from IRD gts paid tomorrow for first time according to IRD letter...and it doesnt compute...(i am getting $305 per week from IRD and they have taken more than that off what they have given me?)
I have no idea what my work is doing...theyve obviously decided to top me up (hey thats great) but would be nice to know what they are going to do from here on in or what they are actually doing now...i thought the first fortnight might have been a mistake but todays one is sooo different that it must have been worked out by pay clerk somehow...
I feel guilty but should i just leave it coming in or contact them to find out what they are doing....i hesitate only cause there was NO communication from them before now from my offers to work parttime within 2nd half of leave or for top up etc so no idea what they are up to...hence my wondering if i should just leave it....no communication from me then either...???

Bombshell - I thought that if you received ANY money from anywhere then IRD will stop paying you your Parental Leave???

I'd contact them, after all if it's wrong they are also entitled to take it back.

I would definatly contact them, and also IRD as they may have issue with the fact you are getting money from them as well.

yeah have put into a side account and not spending it..
companies are allowed to top up...theres no problem with that...they can top you up over IRD to your full amount even...

have no idea what this is...DH thinks we should wait and see if there is another one as amounts dont gel with any calculation of anything...and then see....Im gonna wait and see if i get an email this week from them...if not will have a sneaky chat with someone there other than office manager to see what is happening (she will know what has been decided at the top!!)

Why don't you call and ask for a payslip? You might be able to work it out on the quiet with that background info.

You're not due a small bonus from somewhere are you? I had a surprise thousand bux in my bank a few weeks ago, turned out to be my bonus for the last quarter.
