My bro is out of town and he got me to send some flowers to his gf today, on his behalf. He's 20 and a builder, she's 17 and in her last year of school. I think they've been an item for about 2-3 mos? but I've never met her (only seen her Bebo page). So bro tells me how much he wants to spend, that's all cool, and I ask him if there are any colours to have/avoid? Him: "Umm I don't think it matters so long as she gets them" and then what shall the card say: "Oh um, do they do cards as well? Oh ok, um, well probably 'to A--- from S---'". Haha
Anyway so I'm off to the florists to get things organised for him and the politics of giving flowers (which he clearly does not know about!) runs through my mind:
Not too much red
No roses
I don't know if she loves or hates pink
Not a bunch of pale ("in sympathy") flowers (unless she really likes pastels, but I haven't a clue)
And then the card. He said I could go ahead and write anything she'd like

No way, she's not my GF! LOL So then it's "To A---, Love S---" or aren't they at the "love" stage yet? but "To A---, From S---" might be too obviously
not love... so in the end I decided on "To A--- -S----"
But I'm still laughing
