    Posted: 01 May 2008 at 8:56am
May is going to be a great month I have decided.

Everything has settled down in my house with Greer who is now a happy content little baby. Yesterday I had a haircut and I dyed it last night, also had a voucher for a facial and lash tint which I did yesterday, so feeling very motivated now to lose my baby weight and get healthy. I am going to save lots of money this month too so I can buy some nice boots and a bra that isnt a feeding one in June. And I am going to try super hard to be a pleasant positive non-grumpy mum most of the time - my two year old will not get the better of me! ha ha wishful thinking on that one I think!

It might help that Hannah stayed at mum and dads last night and that Greer slept from 6pm to 7am for the first time as well!!

Yay, happy May everyone. I'm really glad you're doing so well Aimee. Woohoo for Greer sleeping so well last night (I din't get a sleep like that until... no wait, I've never got a sleep like that out of Michaela)

Always remember - happiness is a state of mind. People who choose to be positive will always see the silver lining.

If you have to do something or be somewhere you may as well smile and enjoy yourself while you do it.

Bizzy, another birthday means you get to add another candle and you life is another year brighter

There's an article in some magazine this month (I can't remember which though) on motherhood: youth vs. experience. I haven't read it but I'm pretty sure there are advantages and disadvantages to each.

My DH's mum was in her early 40s when she had him and he's turned out a bit of alright and their relationship is fabulous.

Deb, it's not about being young for your kids, it's about them being happy and everytime I have seen your kids they certainly are

Am feeling ya on the candles melting the cake though - this year I think it will have to be fondant icing on mine in July just to hold the weight of them!!

edited to fix attro....(very bad) spelling!

I'm hoping it will be a good month too. Now we have the house sorted in Waiouru just have to get our house rented.

I'm so on saving money this month and i've already written a grocery list so I will only buy whats on it.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

Happy May to everyone! I too am going to be a new more calmer, more enlightened, less stressed, happier person and while I'm at it ... I want a pony too.

nah, am liking and looking forward to autumnal nights watching dvds, cuddled up with DH on sofa and one pot dinners. And Cath being a happy wee girlie too.

I had a 'moment' today when I got grumpy about a mix up with prescriptions and having to make another trip out later in this disgusting weather with a baby, but I asked myself if it really matters... Forget about it and move on - my new mantra!
