Krystiana had her first imms yesterday and was my first particularly unsettled baby afterwards. I ended up giving her two doses of Pamol last night (4 hours apart, don't worry!) and then she slept for 11 hours A shame I didn't!...

Anyway, for those of you who have Pamoled their unsettled babies, how long did you need to for? I was wondering if she'd need some more tonight but since I thought that she seems to have settled so it might have just been wind.

usually only one or two nights - if it is for imms. For other things, sometimes a bit longer, depending on what else the doctor has given me. I seem to be given large bottles every time I go, I should say no cause I really do have enough, but the student in me "it's free..."

I gave it to brenna both times so far but only needed to do it for the day/night of the imms. It def helped her!! (she reacted badly to the 1st time and ended up with a temp of 39.6 the 2nd time)

my dr is paranoid about mums over medicating their bubs (and must want their $5 fee cos you have to visit to get a script) so they only give 200 mls a time...

Why do you have to pay $5 annie? I thought all of that kind of care was free?

I don't use a lot of medicines - perhaps cause I could never fit a Panadol down my throat so prefered to go without! I still have Hannah's original bottle of Pamol!

Well, going to the Dr used to be free for kids at my Drs, but since christmas, they have introduced a $5 charge. Like it's not expensive enough to go to the Dr! When they introduced reduced rates for over 40's (which is great) they hiked up the charge for CS card holders from $40 to $50 !!!! and for non CS holders and casual people (not registered patients) form $50 to $60!! it is no wonder people get sick and spread bugs, becasue they can't afford to go to the DR. I have to admit, that if I didn't have a credit card, I wouldn't be able to go either, as how many people have $50 hanging around spare, then you have to add on script chages as well (like the $35 my anti depressants cost me!! )

And, as a kicker, NO doctors here ae accepting new people... I like my Dr anyway... Just not his fees!
*sigh* Rant over...

Busymum - yeah Amelia needed 1 lot of Pamol for 2 nights after her last imms. And she's had it for the past 2 nights (much as I hate it) as her teeth must be bothering her. I tried bonjela, teethmed, gripe water, lavender, cuddles and eventually gave in to DH with the pamol.

Totally OT (sorry Busymum) but Jacobsmama, I so understand where you are coming from. Hasn't cost me anything to take Amelia to the doctor, but does cost me $55 - I 'saved' up 3 or 4 symptoms before xmas and went in January! haha.

But I wanna get about 5 moles removed and it's gonna cost approx $250 ... dunno what I thought it would cost, but not that much - dunno when I'll get it done now.
Selina
