Well, I had dramas yesterday after the storm, was cleaning up all the teatree branches and crap in the back yard that had come down and got a whiff of some smoke and saw there was a little fire happening in one of the tea trees in the reserve at the back of our property.
Then made the mistake of putting the fire out, as I then realised the reason why it was smouldering was because it was sitting on the power lines
. So had a very eventful day of calling out two lots of firemen, getting the powerboard out and Treescape having a bit of mission on their hands to get the tree off the powerlines, they did not want to turn the power off as it would have taken out half of West Auckland. So I was told off my 2 firemen
for putting out the fire (one was quite cute so that was okay), and was told several times that I am lucky to be here.
When the branch eventually came down, it was so warm on the inside having had 11000 volts pulsing through it. Sigh. Lucky I did not have much work and managed to cancel my one client for the day. At the end of it I felt like I needed a massage!
