If you've always wondered, you can wonder no more!
The ladle story has been retold in detail (well, what detail I can remember anyway!), in my blog today.

P.S. Obviously, I have created a fictional character called 'The Ginger' for the purposes of DH. I can't have him thinking it's a true story now, can I??

I was telling my hubby the other day, whilst looking at beautiful but expensive kitchen utensils, about a woman I knew of who'd paid $40 for a ladle and he was completely horrified (darn it, I want some BBE kitchen stuff!). I wonder if I should tell him it was actually $60?

Oh ...crap! Was it only $40??  
I just remember getting an almighty fright when I checked the receipt ...but I tried to find my original post on OB this morning and couldn't (to check the price!).
It was quite a while ago now, but for whatever reason $60 just stuck in my head!

I might just go and edit it before DH reads it and has 10 litters of kittens ...$40 sounds much better, even if it was $60!
