a really freaky egg in my compost heap...
Well it's not really freaky but in a strange place, It has definately been laid there, it's not in a nest but bits of leaves etc have been kind of piled up around it, I had a good look but didn't want to touch near it incase I scared the parent away, but there are no feathers near it so maybe not a bird.
I have decided to check it every day and see what hatches, I wish Ethan was bigger it would be a cool little project.
Just kind of reminded me of some kids movie where a random dinosaur egg was found...

Cool! Animals like compost heaps because they retain heat quite well.
Can you take pics for us? I'm really curious too!

Yeah, I wanna see a pic too! You'll probably wake up one morning and it'll just be an empty shell and you'll still never know
