   Hi everyone,
We are away on holiday at the moment and since the day after we got here my 9 month old has been vomiting once a day, with the exception of the first day where ne vomited two or three times. We are concerned as he has never done this before. These are big spews that go everywhere, not just little spit ups.

We are holidaying in christchurch so no where exotic that would make him sick! The people we are staying with have a cat, but that wouldnt make him sick would it?
Apart from when he is vomiting he is his happy self with no other symptoms. He is not getting dehydrated as he is still eating and drinking nis milk. The only other difference is that he has had alot of jar food since we have been away, whereas at home we make 80 percent of his food. But he hasnt eaten any new foods

Has anyone experienced anything like this, or have any ideas what could be causing it? It seems weird that it only happens once a day, usually in the afternoon. Thanks so much for any advice

My little boy went through a stage of vomiting once in the night, every night, for about a week. Same as you, didn't bother him, hadn't eaten anything different etc. we'd just find him in the morning covered in spew! We never got to the bottom of it.
Any diarohhea with it or just a vomit?

Its just vomit at the moment. Im hesitant to take him to the doctors because i doubt they will do much. Might just be a case of waiting it out maybe

Ok so now it seems like the vomiting haopens after a big bottle. He has vomited twicw today almost seconds after he finished his bottle. We have been giving him lactose free formula vor the last three weeks. We were advised to do this for a few weeks to a mo th after he had diarrhea for 3 weels to help repair his intestional tract, i wonder if we should try switching to a different formula?

I'd probably take him to the Dr, since it's free anyway (or pretty minimally expensive) just in case they have any ideas. It does seem possible it could be linked to the formula - you could perhaps try him back on his regular kind for a couple of days?

Yep, we had the same. Not sure what caused it but I thought that maybe we were putting him to bed too soon after eating.
