Topic: Days of our lives Posted: 16 July 2009 at 6:14pm |
Ok, before I start, please be assured , I do NOT take this program seriously !
Does anyone , ever, watch Days of our lives ??
It has got to be , THE funniest program, ever ! really !
this is the latest storyline , there is a serial killer in Salem, who is killing off members of the main cast, the killer is revealed to be Marlena, the main heroine , BUT ...it turns out that she is NOT really the killer , she is being brainwashed into thinking she is , and the real killer is Tony's twin ...
EXCEPT ...the victims aren't really dead , they are being held in a parallel universe /desert island , and Sami comes back as a man named Stan , as you do when the actress playing Sami goes on maternity leave .
Yep , seriously .
An example of how .....laughable it is, Doug , goes to confront Marlena to ask her if she is the killer (he had a dream ) and after she finally confessed he said to her , "we have to put a stop to this Marlena , we have to tell someone ...now I dont have my PHONE WITH ME , do you have a cell phone "
Because, im sure everyone , if they were in the presence of someone who had confessed to being a murderer , would let them know they had no phone with them .
ahhh, its so ...stupid ,and funny , with their "smell the fart " acting , and the way they constantly talk to themselves out loud .
Am i the only one that watches it ? if I am , you all should try to too, give you a laugh for an hour each day .....

Whuu-at?? It sounds like I've been missing out on a good giggle here! I've never seen it before.
Ages ago the ladies on the TTC boards had a 'Days of our Uterus' gag going... sounds like that would make a better programme!

I don't watch it but my Grandmother does and although she laughs at it she is always trying to tell me what is happening and I have no idea who she is talking about let alone what, as the story lines are so ridiculous. She was saying that apparently the writer who wrote what is showing now has been sacked and they have new writers.
What makes me laugh is that they all look younger than when they were on the show back in the 80's and its always dark & foggy PMSL!
Maybe I will have to sit down with my Nana and watch properly sometime and give myself a good laugh!!!!

oh you really should , its so far fetched , and they act so serious, that you have to laugh at it (note AT it , not along with it )
Today , Doug's body , which has now been discovered and is still at the graveyard where he was killed , was just , y'know , lying there, when all of a sudden his ghost sat up and said "I left you a clue ! why wont anyone look at it ? its right over there ! " (of course , noone can hear him )
the "clue " is a piece of paper on the ground , with the word
Marlena written on it in his blood .
Next victim is Alice Horton , poor old dear suffocates on a homemade donut .....

Maybe the parallel universe is the "lost" island .. that programme seems just as far fetched

Ohhh OMG!
I have a long history with days - my Mum started watching it when I was born, and all my life I watched it on sick days etc (Mum even videoed it for me so I would watch it and fold the washing when I got home from school)
I was looking forward to keeping up the family tradition, but it was soooooo bad when I went on mat leave that I couldn't bare to watch it - so disappointing!
I can't believe that latest story line! Sami comes back as Stan!?WTF? They can't kill off poor old Alice!
And they've dragged Tony's twin back? (Andre if I remember rightly!) Sometime back in the 80's he held Tony in a cell for many months and pretended to be Tony....
Maybe it was always this bad - I saw in soap digest (while in a grocery q - I didn't buy it!) that Marlena's demonic posession won best story line of the year when that was on.

OMG I may have to watch this. I flicked over once and saw there was a serial killer but lost interest. Now I know the full extent of the plot it might be worth a giggle.

I have watched DOOL on and off for years. It seriously is the most ridiculous programme ever. You can miss it for 6mths and still easily catch up on the "plot"
Glad to see they have pulled out the old "die but come back to life" plot again, especially if they have Sammy as a man, very remanisant (sp??) of the old "is he Roman, is he John Black?" plot!

ohhh, but they haven't ! not really , because she is being held on the deserted island ....
OH ! (i keep remembering funny things) Brady is looking for his grandfather, Victor's will , which Nicole has hidden .
He said to her "im going to tear this room apart , til I find it " (the will)
He hasn't found it , despite "tearing the room apart "
.......its behind the cushion on the couch .
with a tiny bit sticking out ...

I remember years ago Marlena was possesed by the devil and john was a priest!! and john thought he was roman...and hope was "dead" and came back, and was princess Gina lmao!
What ever happened to the other brady sister? The one who was with Austin?? lol
Oh and we cant forget stefano who has died and come back countless times!!!!

Hilarious! I don't watch it but my mum and grandma do. My grandma lives in Oz and writes letters to mum to tell her what is happening on the show over there. Crazy!!

OMG I just flicked channels and Marlana was in a coffin, is she dead or is it some trick? I flick and see bits ever now and then. Saw it the other day and it reminded me of when she was possessed by the devil quite a few years ago. They obviously run out of drama to inflict on the characters and recycle the storylines!

Did you guys see that they're canning it? link
I don't watch it (as hilarious as it is!), but it's been around for such a long time - I remember Mum watching it when we were kids - so I was a little, 'they can't do that!'

I used to watch it (taped it every day when I went off to work), now too busy - but yep they are thinking of canning along with Young and the Restless. Apparently there is a NZ Facebook group trying to get it kept on air here. So everyone go join the cause!
