Topic: Funny things they say Posted: 28 November 2006 at 9:33pm |
I know we have a similar thread somewhere but i cant be bothered finding it but thought I would share my big boys latest funnies.
Today we were playing doctors which involves me lying on his bed while he makes me all better (strangley enough this is done by hitting my sore legs or whatever) anyway i was 'all better' and had to put his blanket on and go to sleep but i said no it was to hot and was told if i dont go to sleep I will be put on the naughty chair! I guess it means at least he is listening to me.
Also we have lately been part of a sticker chain letter, we had to send stickers to the first person on the list and then send the letter on to 6 of his friends and he has been getting stickers back in the mail (i now have a drawer full of sticker and find them everywhere) Each day he gets some 'post' he gets all excited, rips it open and starts going 'oh wow, oh gosh mum looook' 'oh my god look at these mum' sounds sooooo funny. I didnt realise but i must say oh god a lot. I must also say for christs sake a lot to (obviously not religous people) cos Ive been told for christs sake mum about 4 times this week and his other favourite word is delicious, pronounced belicous, everything he eats is belicous mum!
I love this age when they are really starting to think for themselves and say funny things.... well most of the time anyway

Ah that's hilarious! I've just been giggling away reading that
Funny the doctor thing today... I had to lie down on the couch this morning (and while Han was trying to avoid bath time) and she had to check me over with her pretned stethescope (sp? Ah, I don't care!) on my belly, and then on the back of each of my hands... ?!?!
And yesterday morning I got put in time out. Hannah was playing with the potatoes and handed one to me, I was trying to encourage her to load up her dump truck with them so I threw it from one side of the kitchen and into her truck (missed... I'm a terrible shot!). Apparently that wasn't on, so I was dragged from the kitched and told in a stern voice "Corner. Sit." So I had to sit down for a while until I was ready to say sorry and give Hannah a cuddle. I think she wanted me to stay there longer but the toast had popped and non-melted butter just doesn't do it for me. So yeah, went back to the kitchen and got told "Mummy naughty, throw mato". (I'm pretty sure she just mixed up potato with tomato... p's seem to translate into m's atm... not sure why?) But yeah... would gladly do time out if there wasn't toast involved. It was quite relaxing!

Oh yes it's so fun! Hannah has been saying "Dooddess me, dooddess me" (goodness me) lately it's hilarious!
And tonight while I was preparing dinner something happened between the girls and Hannah got a small bonk on the head. I'm not sure if it was accidental but it was lightish. Anyway, I heard her say "Ow that hurt. Say 'Sorry Hannah'" hahahaha of course Briona can't even say that and Hannah knows it - which is good cause she didn't push the point

Yeah I dont mind when we play doctor cos it always involves me lying down in his bed, the only risk is that i might actually fall asleep after im all better.
We were at coffee group the other day and I put kobe in the corner for not listening to me, when we came home for the rest of the day the kids (I look after another two toddlers who were with me) spent the day putting thier 'naughty girl' dollys in the corner. that was after they had been pregnant, gone to the hospital (aka kobes play house and pronounced hotpistol) and had the baby come out of thier tummies. I have a photo of the three of them lined up with thier 'preggie bellies' then rocking thier babies after they had been to the hospital.

Charlotte was in the bath last night and had her Dory toy (a fish off 'finding Nemo')- she put it up the side and said to DH in a high pitched voice "hi Daddy!" to which he says "hi Dory"- then she goes (in the high pitched 'dory voice') "I want to sit down but I haven't got a bum!". We were in fits- it was so funny and just came out of no where

I haven't got to the why stage i'm noping Andrew doesn't do it. But he is right into copying everything (and I mean everything) I say. Yesterday on the way home from daycare we were following a learner driver. So I was going a little slower behind them just in case anything happened in front of me. So glad I kept back as the car indicated at the last moment to turn (and turn at the last moment) into the street. I was like "stupid fr*ken learner" and Andrew behind me said the exact same thing. Funny thing the teacher in the car was going nuts at the driver. Must of done something else wrong. Andrew's other favourite is flushing - f**king the toilet.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!
