Rohan started off great! He loved pumpkin, carrots banana - not so keen on pears but the whole feeding start was a breeze. Then he had his 5 month jabs:(
He was a bit off colour as I expected, but the dya aftre his jabs we had major throw ups and since then we won't touch any food.
He drinks his milk OK so maybe it will all revert to normal in a couple of days. Any advice or shall I just wait it out and keep trying foods?
Maybe leave it a few days and then try again. If he still doesn't want them try just letting him play in his highchair and then let him play with some of his food without trying to get him to eat it. The throwing up may have put him off and if you force the issue it could make it much worse.
When did you start him on solids? Maybe he's just getting used to them if they are a recent thing so is rejecting them and going back to the old familiar = milk. I agree, leave it for a few days and then try again. He's only 5 months old so you seem to be ahead anyways. Good luck
Probably what has happened is, he was growth spurting 2 weeks ago but his appetite has settled a bit. He might also feel a bit funny while his immune system deals to the immunisation? Anyway I think his appetite has just lowered for a week or two. He'll probably growth spurt again in about 2 weeks and then won't stop eating from there lol
Thanks for that! He seems to be getting there again now - although he doesn't like sweet stuff which probably isn't a bad thing! He has about 5 or so spoons of carrpt/pumpkin at lunchtime and about 1/3 of a banana for tea. Still waking up in the night for a feed but only once which isn't bad.
Tricia, my older 2 girls loved fruity things. My 3rd girl is not much into fruit at all but loves meaty ones. Must be genetic cause DH loves fruit at any time of the day, I'm only into fruit with puddings hehe. Whereas I could eat a roast dinner almost every night
