some of you may have read my little ranty posts last week before we went to auckland......i was going on about how nothing ever goes smoothly with our house.
last wednesday, the day we flew to auckland for christina concert (another rant all together!) was the day our heatpump was FINALLY going to be installed.
i was worried that something would go wrong like always, and told DH to not get to excited about coming home to a warm house..... and of course, it did go wrong. something (i'm not 100% sure why) about the guy not being supplied with the right part?? WTF!!
so i rang the installation place yesterday to arrange a time again and we have to have a site inspection first, then wait about 2wks for installation! why didn't they do the site inspection in the first place!!
so again today, the insulation was due to be installed in the ceiling and underfloor......got a ph call at 9.30am saying they had to change it to friday because they have 2 guys away with injuries
it will be summer before we have anything done!
on a good note though, we did manage to FINALLY (after 2mths) get our excavating work done for the garage foundations. so they will hopefully start that next week, but i'm not getting my hopes up
and don't even get me started on christina. i knew she'd cancel as nz was her last stop on her tour but by wednesday the concert was still happening so we had to use our flights. sitting in the hotel thinking about getting ready to go (5.15pm concert 8pm) and our ph's start going nuts with txt msgs telling us the great news
it was the worst few days i've had in a while. i had a cold and my ears blocked on the plane on the way up and refused to pop the whole time. they are still blocked now. our hotel was the pits, had a kitchen in it but if you wanted anything other than a coffee cup or wine cup, you had to hire it!! on the way home our flight was delayed 40mins and we almost missed our connecting flight in wellington
so, Dh and i are only going to concerts in chch from now on, which sucks because i sooooooo want to go to linkin park but now we can't afford it because of this wasted trip cost so much
I was thinking about you last week Vanessa when I heard about the concert. Sorry to hear it was all sucky I think I heard on the radio this morning that Linkin Park sold out in a few hours.
Hope things with the house start to work out soon too.
Yeah i was thinking bout you when they cancelled the concert. what a sucky week you have had. Good about your garage though! Hope things improve soon for you matey
Vanessa I hope you get the Heat pump sorted soon and I also thought about you when I had the concert was canceled not good leaving it that long to cancel it though. Hope you have no more problems with the garage.
