Ive noticed that sometimes Jayden ends up on his tummy and Im so paranoid even though (I think) hes over the cot death danger age and Im so paranoid that I end up turning him back over when hes asleep but of course cant do this forever and dont want to wake him...
was wondering how many other tummy sleepers are out there and what do you do?
Is it ok for them to sleep on their tummy at this age?
Elizabeth sleeps on her tummy for about half of her day naps! I don't think it matters much, it's got to be one of the more comfortable positions she naps in! (yesterday's was face on wool blanket, arm through cot bars, one leg on large teddy bear )
Caden has been sleeping on his tummy since he was about 7 months old, I couldnt stop him and he would also get out of the Safe T Sleep so we gave up on that.
Once they can roll over them selves and stuff then they are fine because they will move them selves if they cant breathe, just like we would in bed.
Caden likes to sleep on his front with his bottom in the air lol, but usually has his head to the side or half in his pillow.
Jaye started rolling onto his stomach around 7months also. Thought I would try the Safe T Sleep but it just distressed him when he couldn't roll or move freely. Found myself constantly checking him to make sure he could breath but I am now confident that he can move to get more comfortable. He sleeps so well on his tummy and we find him in the most hilarious (also very cute!) positions some nights
Alex has slept on his tummy since he was a few days old and has always slept so much better that way and never have we had any issues with it. Once they start moving around in their bed's I think most little ones sleep on their tummy (well thats what I hear anyway)
Lauren sleeps sometimes on her tummy, sometimes not - I figured that as soon as she could put herself there I'd let her do it (as she sleeps better that way for the most part!) As long as they have head control I think they'll probably move if their nose gets blocked anyways.
Ds started rollingonto his tummy at about 6month but he slept on his tummy from about 3months. He could lift his head very well very early and he was comfortable.
I have always only every slept on my tummy so I understand if he wants to too.
henry has slept on his tummy since he was about a month old. He had quite bad reflux and it was the only way he would sleep (AT ALL). I spent some time feeling bad about it but seriously sleep was important and we werent getting any. He still sleeps on his tummy now but can roll himself onto his back easy. I wouldnt worry about it at this age
