Topic: How much sleep is too much?? Posted: 11 June 2009 at 9:12am |
Angus is 11 weeks old today and quite often sleeping 12 hours... is this too long in between feeds? I think surely he would wake if he is hungry?? Sometimes he would quite happily go longer than 12 hours, but i have been waking him.

Yeah I agree let him sleep.
I have always woken my boy at seven for the first feed of the day just so the day follows some kind of routine but if he sleeps right till that point then that fine too.

As long as he is growing, gaining weight etc, then I say enjoy it! He'll definitely wake when he gets hungry

Cooper has been sleeping 12 hrs since 6 weeks. And ever since he was 12 weeks he started sleeping longer, sometimes 14hrs. The other night he slept for 15hrs and I am sure he could have gone longer, we wanted to go out and I kind of stirred around in his room so he could wake up.
I asked my GP at his last check up if it was ok, and she said just let him sleep. Only wake him if you want too go out.
So I say enjoy it while it lasts, cause it can change so quickly.
