Topic: Sleep and Awake Periods Posted: 15 June 2006 at 12:52pm |
Is anyone able to tell the times of day that baby is awake and asleep by the way bubs moves.
I have read that you should be able to tell but Ethan seems to move whenever he wants and i have never been able to pin point acutal times of the day.

Good question! I asked my mw when is the baby suppose to sleep because it seems like i feel Aston all the time unless my mind is distracted or im walking etc. I do find that Aston is very much more awake at night, mostly when i hope into bed to watch tele. I think cos of the position i get in gives him more room to move so he makes the most of it. Even when im trying to sleep on my side hes still going hard out... During the day id say he sleeps more.Thats what i think anyway

Yes definitely...
This little man sleeps a lot during the day..then at about 7pm he wakes and has a good kick when I am in the shower...calms down while I watch tv but still kicks and does flips..then wakes up and goes nuts every day a coconut from 9pm til about 10:30pm then from about 5:30am til 7:30am ...
Been like that for a couple of weeks now!!

8.30-9.30am is an awake period...quite for a few hours, another big kicking period around lunch, repeated around mid afternoon...(like now!), early evening and again round bedtime. If I'm awake I also get to feel the 5.30/6.00am session and I'm really lucky the 3.00am session!

Alan seemed to be awake t night most so I was worried he would not be a good sleeper, but he wasgreat from day one. I have found baby move's when I sit down this baby is alot more active then Alan.

I have noticed that my little one makes movements in the morning when I get in the shower (must be his wake up call) and then between 8:00 - 9:00 am always after I have had my cup of green tea and then he is active again in the evenings - generally around 8:00 pm onwards. I think he sleeps during the rest of the day

OK I don't think mine actually know what sleep is! One or other is on themove pretty much constantly, and every scan I've had so far they have been super wiggly and hard to measure.
I don't find them kicking bothers me at night tho, and I don't remember Maya's kicking keeping me awake either? The sore hips and achy back keep me awake tho...
