Hi, im just wandering how early morning sickness can start? im not sure if im pregnant but if so ill be nearly two weeks is that too early for it to start as tonight i feel very queezy. Secondly how soon afterwards can you take a test for an accurate reading do you need to wait like a month? sorry just that i dont have any children so new to all this?

i found my nausea started kicking n at around 5 -6 weeks along.there are some test u can use before ur next period is due but most i think you need to wait a few days after it was due(providing your cycle is regular) i think i tested about 3-4 days after i was due (with babe # 2 who was planned) and i used the same ones they have at the doctors.it was faint so i went and got re-tested with thiers and I also had a blood test done to triple confirm my result lol.I cant remember when i tested with my first born as he was a whoopsy baby and I had no idea when i concieved and when my lmp was as i never kept track of that kinda info
Good luck and hope you gt ur BFP(big fat positive)

not to rain on your parade but there are a number of stomach bugs going around, one that makes you feel incredibly sick in the tummy

I didnt have morning sickness, but I've heard its one of the first signs. With me my breasts were really sore. Also I had period pains - before my period was due to start - but no bleeding. I think this was the egg implanting.
I would try and wait till after you think you are 4 weeks pregnant, to do the test so you get an accurate reading (hard to wait though)

bang on 6 weeks for me. with this pregnancy i tested the day i was after i was due for my period and got a very strong positive. that was with one of the quick-card tests they use at drs and midwives.
symptoms of being pregnant were reeeeeeaaallly tired the week before p was due (both times). sore boobs, and feeling like my period was about to arrive at any moment. i.e. bloated, heavy crampy feeling in lower tum.

Started at 6 weeks for me too. *bleah!*
As for testing you are best to wait until the day your period is due or a few days after.
Good luck!

If you know your cycle pretty well I would wait for a few days before or after period is due before testing.
The first sign of pregnancy for me was that I was feeling tired and I started to get back pain, metalic taste and sore breasts.

with jack i tested a day before AF was due and got a negative, then tested again 2wks later and got positive, morning sickness kicked in at 10wks.
this time, i tested a day after and got a very faint positive which was confirmed by blood test at docs the next day. my morning sickness started pretty much the same day i tested which was 4wks.

5 weeks for me! And I tested positive from teh first day of my missed period. For me the first warning sign was incredible tiredness, then nausea a little later.

the sickness kicked in at 6 weeks for me (4 weeks after conception). Up until then I'd just felt constantly sore and bloated from just before my period was due, with sore boobs (just like when period's due). I'd say try to hold off testing until your period is due... impossible, I know!! I tested 3 days earlier with a kit that allows you to do that, and got a negative, then the day after it was due, got the faintest ever positive using a Doc's kit, and was still told to test again in 3 days time!

I tested 4 days after my period was due. It was terribly hard to wait that long, as my periods were so clockwork I knew I must be preg, but Hubby wanted me to wait to see if I got my period cos he didnt want me to be dissapointed. He wanted to wait a week, but by 4 days I just couldnt wait anymore! I got my usual PMS, pimples etc, and was very tired. Very fortuante not too have had any nausea at all.

I got sore breasts and incredibly tired well before the nausea. That kicked in around 5 or 6 weeks.
I'm in there with the parade raining Sarah Beth - you've probably got a tummy bug. Of course you can have a tummy bug and still be up the duff - do a test a few days after your period is due.

I got a bit nauseaus after eating certain foods about 2 weeks. Then got period pain just before period due. I thought I was not pregnant and that my period was coming. I tested myself at 4 weeks and only showed a faint line. Also tender breasts. Maybe you do have a tummy bug.

I started getting sick well and truly at around 8 weeks, only found out when I was probably about 6 weeks I think ! As far as testing goes I can't really give decent advice but if your cycle is reasonably regular I'd wait until your period is late and then test to be sure.
