Topic: Photos of Pregnant Belly Posted: 23 May 2006 at 2:26pm |
Hi there ladies,
Just wondering whether any of you have had any professional photos taken with your pregnant belly and had your partner included? I have looked into this and thought it would be quite nice to have a photo and something to always look back at.

A friend in Auckland had hers professionally done (cost the earth) with I think what used to be called BODY SHOTS??? It was awesome and huge.
Very classy and up above their bed!!

I would have loved to but I rang them up and it costs mega $$$ - and yes it is still called Body Shots. The work they have done looks fantastic, and I'm sure would turn out beautifully, but we couldn't afford it

You could also just find a friend with an expensive camera that is into photography and experiment. Im gonna talk to my friend who has a good camera and see if we can do some black and white ones.

That is a good idea Jezsika. Like everyone has said it is expensive but I would just like to have something that I can look back at and even for my child to see when they get older :) My husband had offered to take some photos but unfortunately he doesn't take photographs very well!

My mama took nakie shots of me preggo. She hasn't printed any as yet (just the proof sheets) but she's getting into doing bigger prints and mounting them herself (has just done a set of four prints for Hannah's room - they are so cool!! I'll tidy it one day and take a pic) anyway... hope to get some nice big preggo prints of me to hang on my wall one day. And next time I'm preggo she'll be a super pro! yay!

There's a crew called 'little wonders photography' in Paraparaumu... they do studio shots of children and families, and pregnant ladies - pretty pricey but really nice work - I got their info from an exhibit at the women's expo in Palmy in the weekend. (They're too pricey for me to use though! Bout $150 I think). The great thing is, because their work is digital, they remove stretch marks if you want a pic but don't want to show your marks off in it. Now that's cool! And the shots they had on display were really gorgeous.

Hi Aimee - I'd have introduced myself if I'd clicked! I don't remember a MonkeyStar site - was that the site next to a sewing machine one, and there were some cute pink & beige outfits for baby girls? And bright little shoes?
I was fully there for the goodie bag (which we missed out on!!! Grrrr for that entry fee they still charged before telling us - how rude!) and the liqorice... ooohhh that spesh liqorice makes it all so worth it. And better still, my husband doesn't like it so it'll last as long as I want it to!

Oh Andie...I wish I knew about this place earlier...my biggest fear was my horrid stretch marks. But because I never got one done the first time around I wont do it for the next one.

My friend was doing a photography course at UCOL (PN) and she needed to do these different styles / shots (and other photography things) to pass, so she asked me if she could take some photos to pass her course and to use up the film (she ended up using two!) on photos for me and david... Got some really nice ones and all the negs for NOTHING!! Was great.

After thinking carefully I may ask my sister to take some photos - she has done a few photography courses and is quite creative and would also not charge me - she also has a very good camera. Thanks for all your help :)
