Lately i have had a craving for ice. Does anyone know if too much will have any effect on baby.

Don't know for sure, but would think eating ice would be fine, afterall, it's just water!

Cravings for non nutritional items (including ice chips) is called Pica. Usually it's due to a vitamin deficiency, so you might want to look at taking a multivitamin supplement while you're pregnant.

You're one of the lucky ones - some people start craving dirt, laundry detergent and toilet cleaner!

Yuck laundry detergent. It just didn't sound as bad as the other two. My friend loves to eat ice. She eats it every day several times a day (Shes not preggy).

i crunched ice and flavorice ice blocks almost constantly, i think it is more to do with the wanting of something hot or cold as there is no nutritional value in ice, now if it was coal i'd be worried.
