Topic: feeling a bit off today/movement/sore Posted: 31 March 2006 at 10:09am |
Hey everyone,
Im feeling a bit queezy today. Like Ive had a big night out on the town. Woke up heaps in the night too. Im also getting sore now when I want to pee. My lower belly gets really tender until I go to toilet then its just heavy. Wonder why??
Yesterday I think I my have felt baby move. Only slightly though if it was baby. Right under my belly button. It was a tiny movement every now and again when I was sitting down watching telly. Not too sure though. It was very faint. Cant wait till I feel lots of movement.

PS. Its not like Im holding on to go to toilet or anything either. It just happens straight away when I get the urge to go.

Maybe baby is sitting right on your bladder? That could explain the need to pee...

If you keep getting sore before you pee, I reckon you should go to the docs and get checked out for a UTI. A couple of years back, I had a similar situation. A sort of dull pain in my lower abdomen, usually just before I had to pee. They gave me medicine and it went away really quickly. Apparnetly its quite common to get UTI's when your pregnant...

start drinking cranberry juice if you think its uti but I always get sore before I pee if I hold on to long and did last pregnancy too. I think its just running out of room in there.

For me, it hurts when I begin to pee, not near my urethra at all, but feels like it's in my bladder or somewhere thereabouts... and my belly feels heavy at the same time. Does anyone know if that's 'normal'-sounding, or do I have to pee in a cup at the Doctor's? (please not the cup... please not the cup!). I've had UTI's before, and this has none of the 'desperately gotta pee like a horse but end up wizzing like a field-mouse instead' tendencies that they've had.

lol andie, love the description. you guys sound the same as me in your peeing symptoms. i seem to feel uncomfortable from the moment i need to pee and then heavy afterwards. it is nothing like the times i've had a uti so i assumed it wasn't that. can you get uti's with different symptoms? my theory is that its uncomfortable because the weight of the baby means there is more pressure on my bladder and the heavy feeling is due to the weight on my pelvic floor muscles? (but then again i could be completely off the track here....)
if it makes it any easier andie, your midwife can check for uti's instead of taking a trip to the docs?
