Topic: Spit Roast Company? Help ASAP! Posted: 25 February 2006 at 11:59am |
Hi Guys!!
I am going to a wedding in a few hours, they are using the Spit Roast Company for the food. Being preggy, should I avoid the meat or will it be ok?
(it is going to be so hard to hide the fact that I am pregnant at a wedding and not even having a glass of wine!!)

Usually served hot and freshly roasted aren't they? In theory they should be fine.
Maybe if they are offering a choice between pork and beef or lamb, go with the beef or lamb as they don't run the same risk of food poisoning.
Good luck hiding your secret!!

Just a note, be careful with lamb that it doesn't show any pinkness - I know it tastes better tender, but yeah

Ok, so after my big paranoid post, I didn't even get a chance to check what you guys said before I left. I got there and figured the same tho, only ate the steaming hot stuff with no pink bits!!
And no drinking, I blatantly lied and said I was on antibiotics for a throat infection! (it is so much fun being the sober one amongst a lot of drunk people tho, you can learn a lot of secrets!!!)
