i still think it is hereditary. Mum and nana both have no stretchmarks (well, from pregnancy) and I don't have any either (from pregnancy - from puberty well, tahts another story!)

Stretch marks!!! Far out, you should see mine, they're disgusting!! Most of them are red, angry looking things down the front of my stomach running from my bellybutton (or where that USED to be) to down near my bikini line. YUCK!! I have been using cocoa butter every day but alas it no work..... ah well, mummy badges aye

I disagree with the heridetary thingie Liz... my mum and gran both have WICKED stretch marks and I didn't even get one with Joey... maybe next time round eeeek

Mine were weird. I didn't have any while I was pregnant but upon 'deflation' I developed white ones. Maybe they were just not very visible when I was big???

i have them on the side on my hips when i gained weight but so far cross fingers not on my belly

Nikki I had the same thing.. we are both pretty little gals so our skin stretched itself silly to accomodate our babes. I've put on a little weight now and they are getting more visable

i got a weird stretch mark where my belly piercing use to be and really ugly little ones on my bum! i cocoa buttered my belly like crazy but forgot about my bum, sigh

Arghhhhh my belly button piercing is gross!!!!!!!
When I was pregnant it was all red and stretched and inside out Now is wrinkly 
Anyway... still wear a bikini so can't be that paranoid

I have heaps of yucky stretchmarks, but with my flabby baby belly stretchmarks are the least of my worries

I have yuck stretch marks too and a Hannah pouch! I have real nasty ones on my sides and some whiter ones around my tummy button, which btw is still an outie and a bit black on the inside Sorry tmi!

Nikki - i definately cannot see how you would be paranoid about wearing a bikini!!!! btw Mike said you are hot. lolol... 
never got any stretch marks from either of the girls - but did get some on thighs around 18 when i gained a heap of weight then lost it again... they go from light to dark depending on if i gain any weight in my thighs. I used to still be confident enuf to wear a bikini... now i still do but cover it up with a white halter top - which goes see thru anyway - but still holds everything in a little - i see now what my sis says about after having 2nd kid the little mummy pouch never goes away.. if i stick out my tummy i can quite easily look as big as i did at 5 months preggers!

lol if i let it allhang out i look 6-7 mnths gone.tanning does fade stretch markstoadegree soi am off to get some serious tannng hours under my belt lol.my mum and sis had stretchmarks and so do i boo hoo

i didn't get any stretchmarks but i was using this oil my sister who is an aromatherapist made for me it has rose hip oil in it which is also good for fading pink ones. i got heaps on my tits a couple of days after Jack was born
