Topic: Too scared to check Posted: 22 May 2008 at 8:12pm |
I am probably freaking out over nothing but I am wondering if I am pg again. I have had 2 AF since Jack was born, 28 day cycle. I should have got AF today and so far nothing. We do want #2 but we were going to wait until early next year to try. There would only be about 18mths gap and that's too small for me, I was wanting about 2.5yrs. I am only just managing to get by now with an average 6hrs broken sleep, I may never get a good nights sleep again. Should my AF be on a regular cycle? Silly question I suppose as everyone is different. I was on the pill for 10yrs and only ever got spotting and I don't really remember if AF was that regular or not before the pill. I am off to the supermarket tomorrow so maybe I will get a test. I am sure I am just working myself up over nothing, anyway another baby would be great. Can't mention it to DH as he may get his hopes up, plus he couldn't keep a secret to save himself especially when he is excited about the secret.
Ok, enough rambling. Will go and make myself a cuppa and stop worrying.

If it was only due today I wouldn't be testing for at least another week.

I'm in the same situation. I put a post on here last week asking if people's AF come back regular after having baby. And like you said, everyone is different. I'm now two weeks overdue and haven't brought a test yet....I've got no other signs, so am thinking that I might not be
I would wait a little while longer before testing.
When you do decide to test, hope you get the result you want

Thanks ladies for "listening" to my ramble. I am a real planner and this doesn't quite fit the plan hence the panic. I am sure I am only worrying for nothing! And if I am pg then we will be happy, plan or no plan

Yes, AF turned up just a little while ago. Actually while I was at the supermarket checkout!! Lucky I was prepared. It was quite strange as it was quite uncomfortable, quite sharp but not so bad that I had to double over or anything. I double checked when I got home and it was quite dark (sorry TMI) which is also strange as it was darker than normal and I don't normally get period pains.
Oh well, will just be prepared around 28 days next time but not panic like I did this time. Although we almost had an accident during the month, hence the panic. Maybe I will just move DH to the spare room until I am ready for him early next year
