OK I was so excited when I got AF on 19/3 because I've only ever had a few before anyway and got pregnant on a fluke *yippee* but then I got cramps again (I was assuming ovulation pains) on 5/4, then a bit of spotting on 12/4 and now nothing. No AF. Is this normal after baby? I'm not b/f and haven't been since 2 weeks so my body should be getting back to some sort of normal right?

I don't want to freak myself out and think that I'm pregnant as I only got a BFP at 6 weeks with Jack as I didn't have high levels of HCG. We have been using condoms but who knows? We did the deed 2 days before pains, it just seems that it all came at the right time? So now I'm on CD33 and I think I'll wait till CD40 to test just in case. And then I freak out that if I'm pg, that because I just had an operation I'd have to abort cos of the general anaesthetic and the drugs etc?

Help put my mind at ease someone Oh, and sorry didn't really know what thread to put this in. So has anyone else had this? I wouldn't care about not getting AF if it wasn't for the fact that I had the pain and then spotting (which I've never had before) and now everytime I get a little bit of pain I think OMG whats going on. TIA

Secretly I wouldn't mind although it would mean that Jack and this one would have been conceived on EXACTLY the same day a year apart. Just worried about if I was pg, the general anaesthetic that I had. Though I know the placenta doesn't attach for the first 8 weeks or something, and I had my op on 9/4.

As an aside, how effective ARE condoms? And what about when your just 'bumping and grinding' so to speak before you actually put a condom on? I know when I was at high school they said that really fertile sperm can actually make their way to the egg! Lol and DH did impregnate me pretty damn quickly last time. Oh god. I'd be so happy but also scared. Eek.

Well there is only one way to find out!!!!

And yes you can get pregnant from the "bumping and grinding" part.

I think its quite common for af to be all over the place when it starts up again and can arrive once then not again for a few months etc.

I wont let jeff read this or he will be on at me to put out more often hahaha

Good luck either way

Horniness?! hehe

Well my mum only conceived once every 2 years and me and my sis are only 2 days apart, and she was also pg and had a m/c but that bub would have been born within 2 weeks of us too...

Hmmm... may have to sneak a HPT into the shopping on Thursday. Not getting my hopes up either way. It's not like either DH or I would be disappointed if we got pg, I think we'd just be shocked!

Could be pregnant, or it may have been a bit more post baby bleeding. I stopped and then started again at about 6-7 weeks for a few days, and AF didn't return until 6.5 months post partum.

As for timing, it's weird how the body seems to synchronise itself year in and year out. This bubs is due at almost the same time as my first bubs would have been due. I know a lot of people who seem to always have their due dates around the same time of the year as their previous bubs.
