Topic: Toddler friendly cafe in West Akl? Posted: 19 January 2009 at 11:51am |
I want to head out for brunch this Saturday, just DH, Jack and I and we need a toddler friendly cafe, preferably in West Auckland. Jack will sit still to eat but then will want to get down and play. All I can think of is Soljans who apparently have a playground. Is there anywhere else?

Crystal Mountain or Kiwi Valley Farm park both have a cafe .. they are both family orientated venues so I presume they would be kiddie friendly.

We sometimes go to Bricklane, near Lynn Mall. It's often pretty quiet and there are big couches for us to sit on (and when Daniel's bigger, there's a big outside area for him to run around in).

There's a cafe in Coatesville called Fernielea, very child friendly. A bit off the west beaten track, but only about 10-15 mins from Soljans.

Just googled Fernielea and it looks good, will mention it to DH.
I wasn't too fussed on Crystal Mountain last time I went and not too sure about Kiwi Valley Farm.
Brickland might be an option if it's quiet and I take some toys with us.
Thanks

I know you said west, but there is a very child friendly cafe in Onehunga called The Library. Fenced huge outside area as well as a cordoned off inside play area.
Foods a bit on the average side but the kiddie friendliness of the place makes up for it.

Maxim Cafe under the Les Mills Gym at New Lynn is quite good too & they have a little outdoor bit with a play gym with a slide etc.

We just had our coffee group this morning at The Brigham on Brighams Creek Road. It is fabulous for coffee group as it has a huge area for kids to run around and play, they will make sammies or whatever you want for you kiddies too! Definately very child friendly! There was also another coffee group there aswell!
We will definately be going back there!!
