I cant for the life of me figure out how to use it!! when ever i put bella in it it feels like she going to fall out, so i cant be doing right??

have you checked out the sling babies instructions? they have instructions for all the different carriers.

and the d & z site has great instructionals too.

oh, eden never liked the newborn carry... it wasnt till she got old enough for the hip that she really got into it!

ohh no i havent looked at the sling babis site, i will go have a look.
How old would u say is old enough for hip hold? (sorry 1 hand typing)

On the D&Z site they say approx 4 mths for the hip hold, it depends on her back and neck strength.

I use the hip hold and Ashley really enjoys it.

We use the hip hold here too, in fact DD2 fell asleep on me just after dinner while I had her dinner and was snoring into my armpit Newborn carry never worked for us either but we are definitely rockin it now! If you haven't gone already the Slingbabies site is www.slingbabies.co.nz

ETA: DD2 is almost 5.5mos but we only started using a pouch sling a couple weeks ago or so I think, so just before 5 mos.
