Topic: TMI VERY ODD AF Posted: 22 September 2008 at 8:01pm |
Has anyone every experienced this..
AF a week late
SLight spotting one morning then clear.. Next morning went to the loo thinking I still had a chance of being pregnant but went to loo and WHAM!!! The heaviest bleeding I have ever experienced, very nauseated and clots through it. It came like abig gush which stayed very heavy that day then like a normal heavy period the following day with lots of cramping. Today I woke, put in tampon, went for an hours walk came back and hardly anything on tampon.. Now it is completely gone but still experiencing cramps , headaches and pressure in vagina area...
Got BFN from blood tests and thyroid tests etc clear. Im so confused cos I know this is not normal for me at all...
aNY IDEAS..

Haven't experienced it but the only thing I can think of is maybe all the blood that comes from AF got "stuck" up there and came out all at once rather than over a few days *shrug*

i had really bad and clotty bleeding a few months ago which turned out to be a burst cyst. i hadnt ovulated when i thought. instead it just grew bigger and bigger over a couple of weeks till it burst, dont know if that is what caused the bleeding or the release of hormones. i have no history of cysts so it cold be a once off for you too

Hmm maybe see how it goes over night and then call the doc in the morning if you're worried? Better safe than sorry. Is there any clotting or is it normal flow just really heavy? Hope all is well hun.

Thanks the days the real extra heavy period came there was alot of clotting etc.. Wont go into detail as TMI but definately not normal. The doc that I spoke to about my test results (not my doctor just the one on duty) was not concerned when I told her I had a big gush .. She just said it was my period.. . She wasnt very helpful really.. Will ring doctor tomorrow cos its really scary.. Since Ive started bleeding again Ive got really nauseaous and my tummy is growing tighter and getting bigger. It also started as blackish and now bright red..
Sorry about TMI.. I just want to find out whats going on..

No fair enough I think calling the doctor is a good idea. If you're worried then you need your doctor to discuss things with you.
The nauseousness could be because you've got a heavy period as I get that when I have a right doosey but still if its not normal for you then best to get it checked out. Let us know how you get on and I hope it's something very simple like just a bad period. ((hugs))

Sounds like it's more than just a period. If you're worried tonight, you can always ring Healthline. AIn fact, if I was you, I would definitely ring them, esp. with what's going on with your tummy.

Hi all, Well I have a docs appointment tomorrow afternoon. It was the earliest I could get in.. Fully booked. argh!! In the meantime AF is still playing tricks on me and starting suddenly and heavy then stopping to clear then starting again about 6 hours later.. No clotting anymore , just really really heavy beeding that is dark at first then bright so maybe it is a blockage or something.. Still full on crampng and had migraine today which has eased to feeling just tired now.. Im so buggered... Will let you know how I go... thank s all..

Hey Kelly, what you have had is something that is normal for me once a year. I get that and it is my body doing a big clean out, the blackish dark red blood is the stuff that has been inside you for a long time and is finally coming out. I freaked the first time it happened and was told what i have just written and now I expect it each year.
