Topic: Nasty Surprise! Grr Posted: 11 September 2006 at 12:29pm |
Now this may be TMI for some peeps but here goes:
This morning in the shower I was shaving and noticed the smallest bit of blood, I put it down to a shaving knick. However I go to the loo before and find not tons but quite a bit of blood in my panties. Now I’ve just worked out my period was only 19 days ago so it can’t be that and it’s like the wrong colour. It’s not bright bright red like really new blood would be but it’s still fairly bright and not the period kinda red either. And no cramps like I would normally have if it was that
*sigh* what could it be?
I’m not sure what it is. I’m hoping it’s going to go away by tonight. I hate nasty surprises in my panties!! Especially at work!!!!!!! Grrrr

Yeah I'm not sure aye. It's way too early (by 11 days) to be my period but over the last hour I've got a cramping feeling on just one side of that kinda area

have you had ovulation pain before? That is usually one sided, but you should go get it checked if it continues...

Yes, indeed I did have that and thought woohoo, period and thought nothing more of it. Went to thailand and came back to do pregnancy test. five months later Taine was born. I had quite a bit of "gushy" blood (sorry) and leaked onto the chair (sorry)

Well I phoned the docs and asked a nurse for "advice" she took down everything I said, got concerned and said she would call me back in 10 mins once she talks to the doc. She phones me back and said that I must go in to see him today. I did and it can apparently be a few things. His first concern was my appendix and if I get pain again I'm to go immediately to A&E . He said otherwise it could be a cyst which has burst. None of these sound particularly good for me. But if the bleeding isn't gone by the end of tomorrow he wants me to have a series of bloods done. Great!!
He did a preggers test while I was there to rule out an eptopic pregnancy but it's not that thank god. Because that was my worry but I'm not sure i like the thought of it maybe being my appendix as the pain I was getting is apparently right where that is.
The blood is just weird. I'm still concerned that its quite red but I trust my doc.

At least I'm not afraid to make a phone call to get advice, I talk to that many random people a day that talking to a doctor or nurse isn't very scary

hehe I always think people who sit around fretting and can have it solved by a simple phone call or question annoy me so I can't exactly say that then sit around and do the same thing now can i?
