Topic: going to be a long day i think Posted: 30 September 2008 at 8:33am |
Rhiannon has a cold, and woke up 8times last night because she couldnt breath through her nose.
Kent has her cold and is so stuffed up, his snoring was so bad i went to sleep on the couch but only lasted 2 hours on there.
Back to bed i go to only end up yelling at Kent (its 2am by this time and ive been in bed since 9.30pm and have had 1.5hours sleep)....so Kent moves to the couch.
4pm Rhiannon comes in as miserable as sin, so i pull her into bed with me....its 5.45am before we both get back to sleep and at 6am Kents damned alarm went off.
so we have one grumpy tired mother who is due for af in 3 days and a tired grumpy sick toddler....makes for a wonderful household

yeah have heard about them, but wont use them, as Kent used them as a child, and it stuffed up his nose so much that he had surgery at 14 adn then again last year, and his surgeon actually said he wished it could be banned as its so bad for the nose.
Kent still uses it sometimes at night, but it doesnt help if he has a cold, as it just makes his nose run

Poor you guys!
We've all got a cough and cold here too and it sucks ass.
When we took Ella to the odolaryngologist (ENT) at the hospital earlier this year I was asking him about the otrivine drops. He said that they're fine to use, just once at bedtime for kids and for no longer than 3 days. Any more than that and they can irritate the lining of the nose and cause problems like Kent has had, so if you wanted to try them for sleep's sake, it might really help.
Hope everyone is better soon!
