Topic: Freaking out. Can anyone tell me..... Posted: 23 January 2008 at 8:57pm |
I went round to my mother's bestfriends house this evening to drop off a surprise for her and as soon as I got there she burst into tears and is freaking out. She is having a problem where she just keeps bleeding like a period but really really heavy. It started happening when she was lifting heavy things and because of her job it's been a bit of a concern too as she frequently has to deal with people physically. Anyway, today she had to come home from work because she was bleeding so much and she's really freaking out. The Dr has arranged for urgent specialist visits for tomorrow which is good but now I've got myself all in a tis as well. She's my mum's bestest friend and basically my other mother and all she wants is mum here and now I want mum here too. I'm trying to get hold of her but she must be at lunch or something. I have no idea what this is but I'm sure it can't be good. Any medical experts out there? I'd try google but I don't really know what I should be googleing. I'm suffering from a very bad case of I want my mummy at the moment.

That sounds freaky!! I'm not surprised that you guys are all in a tis over it. I think I would be too.
Is it worth going to the ED and just demanding to be seen straight away? It's what I would do because I'm good at demanding things like that.

Yep I agree with Stacey, can't you go and picked her up and take her... and leave a message for your mum?

Well I did ask if perhaps we should do that but she needs to see the specialist. Our Dr is really good though so he would've sent her straight to the hospital if there was a need. This is all going to be dealt with privately so that she gets good and fast care or treatment. I hope they can give us some answers straight away.

Oh no that is so not good. When I was bleeding none stop it was put down to issues with my uterus and the lining. Hopefully its gets sorted tomorrow.

how scary. if its any help my best friends mum had something similar recently and while they couldnt tell her why she was bleeding so much it was nothing serious or life threatening although she did eventually have a hysterectomy (sp?) but that was after about 4 months of specialist appts etc... to try and sort it out. and she is fine now.
All the best for tomorrow
