My parents are moving to Wellington in a couple of months and my mum is keen to get car seats for Amy & Sophie for her car (so she can see them as much as possible ) and I was wondering if anyone has any recomendations for seats in a second car.

I want something good and safe but was hoping not to spend a fortune - they both have safe-n-sound seats in my car and they are great but quite $$$.

check out the carseats on www.babies.co.nz. I have one of the supernanny 3 in 1 seats for Michaela (and a few others on here have bought them too).  They're really good and a lot easier on the pocket.

We got given carseats for my parents cars. Not the best thing to do but we did know the history so it wasn't so bad.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

Those supernanny seats are really good.

Both my mum and MIL got 2nd hand ones. They went over them really well. Not the best cause we don't know the history but we didn't expect them to buy new. Both of them have safe n sound
