I do mine once a month !!! and I spend less than what I would do going around the shops!! I dont get any perishables as here in auckland the groceries come from south auckland and I am in west Auckland.... (Bad experience with one shop that i did, came on a sub 60 courier ~ had been in traffic for 2 hrs and meat etc was not in chiller, not impressed)
I find it really easy to keep within budget, and its really easy to find all the specials...

We used to do ours online, but we've found that it's worth the hike to Pak N Save just to save a little bit extra. If you're busy though, and do big shops less often it is good - not so good if you do small shops often.

I would like to try but I think that the cost of actually getting it to me would be quite expensive.
That and we normally shop at Pak N Save since that works out cheaper then any other supermarket around here.
But I really like the thought of sitting in my own home with my feet up and not having trolly or carpark rage!

I did a few times when James was a newborn and I had coupons for free delivery (from the bounty pack I think) I dont think it was cheaper, but no impulse buying which has to be good . It was very limited in what I could get to me, no perishables at all.
I used woolworths.

Oh my god, it is so much quicker for me to jump in the car and spend 30mins in the supermarket and come home than have to browse online, besides im really really fussy when it comes to fruit and veges and fresh meat, and really wouldnt trust the supermarket guys to get it right.
Although i do know alot of ppl who love shopping online

I used it, and only use it when you get discounted or free delivery. It was great when Jack was first home and so easy. You could shop, stop to feed him, shop again, stop to check pantry, shop again. No impulse buying (well not much, the chocolate was on special... honest), and if they don't have the product they substitute for something better

I'd LOVE to do the food shopping online so that I could check what was in the pantry/freezer at the time! I always check before we go but always forget SOMETHING
and besides, I HATE going to Pak n Save!

I've done it a few times at Foodtown but we always shop there anyway so we're probably not missing out too much by not going to Pak n Save or anywhere cheaper. I absolutely HATE the supermarket so find online shopping really good. And it is easy to find the specials and to compare prices too.

i do mine online.
i find that for a $12.00 delivery fee (depending on what i spend) its HEAPS cheaper for me to take 15 mintues on line to do it than to finish work, drive to supermarket, muddle through supermarket buying things i dont really need, come home, unpack.
i guess i just think my time is worth more than $12.00
i was sceptical until i did it, its awesome, the quality of the meat and produce is EXCEPTIONAL, much much better than i thought
The best thing - if you order somethign and they dont have it - they upgrade you for free!

I thought about doing it online and so after a shop at our local New World i sat down with my docket and analy entered everything in to an online shop....it came out more expensive and I wasnt able to get all the brands I normally like so I have kept going with shopping in person.
Wish I could shop online as it feels really organised but I like to look at things when i shop....closest I get to retail therapy these days
