So we have a 3rd birthday to go to this weekend...and I have no idea what a 3 year old would like!! I know he likes Thomas...that's about all I know. Can anyone give me some ideas that preferably don't cost too much????

Hot Wheels, you can get about 5 cars for $15. Ethan loves them. Ethan is a Thomas fan too, perhaps a lunch box with Thomas on it? Or a teeshirt with Thomas. 3 year old boys are easy to buy for. In fact I just got Ethan his $10 present for day care. Its a sand pit toy thing from the warehouse. It's a truck with a spade, bucket and watering can. Ethan went crazy over them yesterday. Hope that helps.

What about a Thomas moonhopper? I think they are around $15. Both Ashleigh and her 3yo boy cousin love theirs!

Even older kids are into it. I got DP's daughter a set of dishes with her name painted on them and they always have to positioned so that the name is facing her.

My 3yr old just got some washable markers & a pad cause his big brother had a birthday & he loves them, lucky they are washable as the little tike has drawn on a few things .

He loves hot wheels, music stuff, drawing, puzzles, post man pat, Thomas, scooters, dress-up like spider-man.

Since Rhyley just turned 3 i can let you know what he got:

Hes really into Cars (lightening McQueen cars this is)
Love Thomas - you can get a Thomas started pack for around $25 or a Thomas train for like $12.99 that runs on battery.

He also got a huge set of cars (normal ones) and loves his hot wheels ones

Thomas or Lightening McQueen bubble bath

Romote control car (cheepy one just as good as expensive one)

Balls (any type although rhyley is a sporty kid)

You can get a set of gold clubs (plastic ones) around the $10 mark

Books - cars type ones are good - a friend of mine got a personalized one for Rhyley which is cool too (ordered online)

Paddling pool

Playdoh is always a goodie

There is plenty more - cause I could go into the christmas list ones LOL
