Antenatal class (North Shore)

Ok so, I commented about the first class I had last night in another thread, but figured it could well turn into a topic in it's own right so thought it best to start a new thread.

I can't really complain about the timing of the class, seeing as how most people would still be working they haven't got much choice - the one I'm going to runs from 7-9pm on Thursdays.

However, the map I was sent was *hopeless* !! I'd take a picture of it but I left my cellphone at home, so will have to do it later. I'm thinking of revising it myself, as I don't think they'd do anything about changing it if I just gave them some "feedback"... *sigh*

I didn't really learn anything new, the best part was just meeting other people / couples who are due around the same time and talking to them a bit. For that reason alone I am going to keep going, I had it in my mind if it was *really* useless I would give up - but I can understand why some of you didn't go or gave up !!

I think Roland found it good, although the first session was just a general overview and discussions on different things to do with pregnancy and labour. The lady who took us was good, reasonably funny, although she was just relieving for this once for the lady that apparently runs it normally.

Eh well to be honest Lu, the only "good" thing was getting to meet other people in the same situation, but there were a couple of ladies who were alone, mind you I think it was mostly coz their partners / husbands couldn't make it. I know one lady was her sisters "partner" for antenatal classes when she had her baby though.

most of my friends who have done one r still friend with some off the mums from there groub so would be wicked for that are u at work jax lol
