I am on the injection at the moment until things settle down some (will be on it for about a year). I have had it a couple of time before, but this time I'm getting really nasty pains that feel like period pain (I am due for another injection in 4 weeks) and constant nausea, plus I get pains that feel like another cyst is developing. Has anybody else had this on the injection??? If it continues I will go to the doc, but just wanted to know if anyone else has had the same.

Sorry never had the jab before but that doesn't sound very nice to be going through

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

I have had depo and I didn't have any side effects at all. I have heard nausea can be one but don't actually know anyone who has had it. I haven't heard of the other pains. Sounds extremely uncomfortable.

Thanks ladies. Yes it is very uncomfortable (and makes me extremely emotional - I'm forever in tears beause of silly stupid little things). I wonder if it may have something to do with my endometriosis as well.

My sister had quite a bad reaction to depo, and my doc never let me have it as he's anti prescribing it to people that haven't had children due to TTC issues. Sorry I know that doesn't help but I would probably reconsider having it again if its making you feel so lousy.

Could they put you on a high-dosage oral instead? I was on Estelle for my PCOS and it seemed to be OK (although I did gain a lot of weight)

I switched back to Depo as I've got pregnant twice on the pill. Generally I have never had any side effects etc while on any form of contraception, except now I'm getting these. I know about the TTC issues (part of why I'm only going to be on it for 3-4 jabs) so yeah, considered that when I went on it.
