Did anyone get nightmares around your due time? I'm getting some pretty nasty ones...
Last night, my not very nice abusive Ex found out where I was living and followed me to a carpark where he beat me to death (I was still pggrs) and no one would help even though all these people were watching. Weird thing was that he was beating me with a laptop.....

Had some other horrible ones about people doing terrible terrible things to me pets and to DH commiting suicide.

I know they're dreams but it's very upsetting as they are so very vivid.

Yeah I had horrible nightmares right through my pregnancy with caden, I had one where DF was some mental case murderer! I woke up SOOO scared.
When I first got preggers with this baby I kept having nightmares every night about tornados and in my dreams I couldnt find Caden and I woke up just about crying!

Nightmares and vivid dreams are very common in pregnancy

Guess it's just the nature of them that's scary. I've had the dreams all the way through but not like this.

mine got pretty vivid and scary towards the end Dana , and really really clear, the type that you wake up and you lie there thinking it was real for a few minutes first .

I found this, dunno if its much help
"Dreams reflect your emotional state, so it's only natural that during pregnancy — a time of many mixed emotions — your dreams seem more intense and stranger than usual
. Hormonal changes (specifically, a surge in progesterone) also make you dream more frequently and vividly. And you may be remembering more of your dreams if you're regularly waking up during the night, interrupting phases of dream-filled REM sleep."

Does make sense though. It's just that they seem so real! Especially when you dream you're being attacked then wake up still trying to defend yourself. Very weird lol.

Same, although some of my weird dreams have borderd on scary.
Hope bubs comes out soon and you go back to having sweet unnightmarish dreams.

   Oh my,
I have had the odd "Nightmare" where my DH was with another woman, and everytime I wake up I always want to smack him one even though it was a dream. lol
Though last night after reading this tread, i went to bed and had a dream he was lying in bed and this "girl" I picked up cause she needed a ride somewhere was getting on top of my DH. (fully clothe btw) when i saw this happen, I grabbed the girl's hair and started laying one on her.... Then i woke up, looked at DH and wanted him to wake up to yell at him cause the dream was so vivid. But he was dead asleep.
Grr these dreams!! I know how you feel.

Blimey, that's an odd one chick lol.
From what i've read, it's pretty normal to have dreams about DH being killed or other nasty things as it's our natural fears coming out re being left alone with a baby on the way.

I didn't have any dreams about partners when I was pregnant with Caitlyn , but thats probably cos I was single .
But this time , ive had all those, DF being horrible, DF being killed, DF owing drug money and drug men after us (even tho DF doesnt touch drugs at all )

After babies born , the nightmares arent so vivid...but you still dream about bad things, just that they are about your child .
Especially when something happens during the day , eg, C fell down 4 steps once when she was about 6 months, I dreamt that night that she fell down 4 flights of stairs ...
