sooooooo cool!!!

i was looking out the kitchen window at mums about 4pm, as it had been raining but then i noticed that it looked like sleat! i told DH who pretty much looked at me like i was a crazy woman! and off he walked, then i heard a   . . . " WHAT THE . . . O M G YOU HAVE TO COME LOOK AT THIS" so walked into the lounge and all the cloud had lifted off the hills all around town and they were white!!!!!!!!!!!!!
theres snow everywhere so i took sarah accross the road and over the fence to the farm which was also covered in snow she was so excited!

hasnt snowed this close to town for about 15yrs

dh and the boys have missioned off with the snow boards to see what fun they can find :)

i cant wait to see what its like tomorrow. i hope theres more

will add pics tomorrow as dialup seems to be taking forever

Isn't it cool. We have about 15cms now here.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

We had the hugest hail storm here in palmy this morning, we were off to welly for the day with my Bm's mum and we hardly got to longburn and it started, and then i am pretty darn sure that it was snowing - it looked like it - there was black ice all over the road, we slowed down to stop and were really careful about it and still nearly ended up in the side ditch near the road. We turned around and came back home after that, and about 5 mins behind us had been an accident where the car had come too fast round a bend, careered over the other side of the road and was now right on it's side burried in the ditch - further closer to town was huge huge hailstorm, but definately - longburn was more like snow... the hills this arvo looked gorgeous.

Wow It snowed down (well down for me) in Hunterville and they haven't seen snow there for years.

I just went out and took some photos. Will have to upload them.

Yes, the news on the radio yesterday said there was snow on the Kaimais!!!  I don't think I've ever heard of snow that close to us!  IT IS SOO COLD THOUGH, definitely feels like snow is around!
