Topic: Been a busy bee Posted: 05 July 2008 at 9:19pm |
Havent been around on here much lately and have finally got a chance tonight to catch up. I decided two weeks ago to continue with the house redecorating and started ripping out kitchen cupboards - so have now finished painting the kitchen and laundry. Just need to do a few touchups and get blinds, new benchtop and lino then its finished! It looks so good, am very proud
And big news - have got a new job! Decided I didnt want to go back to do my weekend physio work at the hospital, so applied for this other job which is actually a huge step up for me and they wanted me! Managed to negotiate them down to 20 hours instead of full time - 16 hours plus 4 hours at home to do my notes on a laptop. And awesome money with a large clothing allowance Girls will be looked after by my mum one day, and probably a SIL the other day. Quite excited as its a totally new position so I get to do a bit of the setting up work. looking forward to a challenge
And just in case anyone was wondering, SIL is doing heaps better. She was an inpatient for two weeks to get meds sorted and start couselling, and now seems to be in a much better place. Has even been to see her parents, which is really good. Thanks for all the thoughts when it was all a bit rough there
Oh and it snowed here in Dannevirke today!! Was so exciting, hasnt snowed here for a few years and I missed it last time. We went for a drive this afternoon for Hannah to have a play and there were heaps of people out doing the same - so funny how excited people get over snow!
Hope everyone is tucked up nice and warm by their fires tonight

Means driving to Pahiatua (covers whole of Tararua but based in Pahiatua), but hopefully will be able to work it so can use my car in Dannevirke sometimes.
