Inner Ear Blockage/Infection

Has anyone had one of these? If so, how long did it last????

I started steroids and a spray on Friday but still feel pretty terrible. I can't walk in a straight line (so I look like a drunk when I'm walking down the street) and my head just isn't functioning...I'd just like an indication of how long it usually lasts - all the doctor said was it would last until the blockage is gone, but that doesn't really tell me a lot (particularly because I have to work through it).
