Not me, but a friend of mine, has been having slight nausea, sore breasts, slight cramps etc since about ovulation. She's only about 9 DPO (AF due early next week). She also has something of a "blood taste" in her mouth when she swallows. But the nausea has been for a couple of weeks now, maybe 3. She's done a test but it was BFN, might be early but who knows. Anyway, what's your thoughts on it cause I think the symptoms are too early for being pg?

I had a lot of cramping at the start of my pregnancy, but I think it was only after AF was due, I know that I was paranoid that I was gonna lose the baby cos of the cramping. Did get any nausea etc till about 6 weeks.

I have all those symptoms(except the blood taste) and I started getting them at about 4DPO however I'm now 18DPO and haven't had a BFP or AF so that doesn't really help your friend much.

this month I had cramping for about 4 days before AF, which is really unusual for me - I thought of taking a HPT, but when my temps started dropping I knew I wasn't pg this month - my suggestion is just get your friend to wait until AF is due and take another test, it may just be nothing, but then again it might not be!!!!

Every situation is different!

I second waiting for AF, I'm assuming she wants a BFP? I know it is REALLY hard to wait but until you are due it could be symptoms for either. Ole' Mother Nature sure has a great sense of humour at times.

If she is worried about her symptoms then I suggest she see her GP just to be sure that all is in order, and perhaps have bloods done, but it could be unlikely that it will show up if she is pg.

Now this one sounds a bit odd, but you can sometimes tell by the color of the cervix, which, yes, is damned hard to see at times, but if she is REALLY intent on finding new symptoms, then if it is purlpish there is [apparantly] a good chance she is pg. Plus the ole' darkening of the nipples etc...

But most of all, best of luck and babydust to her! (if thats what she wants that is...!)

Oh and I guess the only other explanation could be that she could be one of those rarities that ovulate really early, and got pg early. Coz from my understanding of your post it seems she has had the nausea for longer than since she ovulated, is that right?
