Topic: Feeling a little dizzy Posted: 26 March 2007 at 5:12pm |
Has anyone else ever had this?
On Friday in the afternoon all of a sudden I came over all dizzy and nauseous, it kept up on and off all evening along with a horrid headache that also came and went.
Was fine all weekend, but then this afternoon it has come back exactly the same.
I'm taking iron supplements and eating and drinking heaps, so I have no idea what is causing it!
I know I should ask a Dr rather than posting it here, and I'll go tomorrow if it doesn't ease up , but I figured the Mummies here are a fountain of knowledge too

Well the first thing the doc wants to know is whether you feel like everything is going around or if it is just a boat-rocking kind of dizziness. If it is the former you might want to check out my recent post on Benign Positional Vertigo. That can happen randomly or because of a recent cold - have you been sick with anything last week?

I've had that for the past couple of days and last night I came down with that nasty flu bug that's going around. Perhaps thats it?
But like with all things, if you're worried call the Dr
Hope you're feeling better soon

sounds like it could be blood pressure...DH suffers from that with similar symtoms as you mention!

I have been feeling dizzy all day and i've taken a few panadol to help (which they haven't). I hoping mine is a side effect of not wearing my glasses (I haven't been able to find them since coming home from the hospital).

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

Had you stood up quickly or hadnt eaten in a while? Blood sugar levels low? Vit C to absorb the iron?
I do occasionaly feel a bit faint and dizzy because of those reasons. If it happened regularly within the day/week(more than once) i'd see the doc.
Hope you are all good

Pregnant.
Honestly.
Mind you... I diagnose people with pregnancy all the time... the only person I have actually been right with is Liz. Oh, and myself.

LOL Nikki, I'd better not be preggers, that'd mean $400 worth of contraception down the drain!
Bombshell, is your hubby's BP thing from high or low BP?
I haven't been sick at all recently, but I hope your flu gets better quickly Toni, and I hope you're not getting sick either Jess!
Stupid thing comes and goes all day, usually comes at times when I'm not free to call the Doc, so its easy to keep putting off making an appointment.
Thanks everyone for the replies!
