Didn't want to hijack the baby pics thread so here is an update for ya Kim, and anyone else that reads it.

Xanda hasn't got any teeth yet, but his middle bottom one keeps coming up and going back down. He has a top-up of apple each night, but only about a teaspoon, am quite happy to keep this up as he is growing very well and quite a content baby, and sleeps through the night still. Good to hear that Zac is going well.

That's great to hear! Zac is having solids twice a day. Two ice cubes of fruit at 11:30 and two ice cubes of vegies at 4:30 - I'm not sure if that is too much or not! He is still sleeping through the night as well. How's Xanda's rolling? Zac can roll both ways so rolls all over the lounge then gets frustrated cause he has rolled away from his toys. He has started crying if I leave the room now - does Xanda do that? Zac now weighs 7.4 kg (16.28 pounds) - how much does Xanda weigh?? Zac has also thrown a couple of temper tantrums - the other day he made his body go all stiff so I couldn't put him in the push chair!

Yeah Xanda is rolling all over the place now, and like Zac he gets frustrated because he rolls away from his toys. But he has started to push himself towards them and do an army type crawl thing, pulling himself along with his arms.
Xanda sometimes at night if he wakes and his dad gets him instead of me, he screams until I go in and give him a cuddle, which is kind of frustrating as it means I have to get out of bed instead of just letting my partner deal with it. A month ago when weighed, Xanda was 8.04kg(17lb 11oz).

I just love it when he giggles and laughs, it brings a smile to my face and reminds me that no matter how tough it gets there is always something to look forward to.

Xanda is so clever starting to crawl. Can he sit up by himself? Zac is nearly there - he is not falling over as much now.

I totally agree with your last statement! Zac was in hysterics the other night with my husband. All Mark was saying was come on Zac trying to get him to crawl and Zac would go into hysterics - he was lying on his tummy and a couple of times he was laughing so hysterically that he couldn't lift his head off the floor.

Nice chatting with you!

Just wanted to say that I've been reading your messages because I have a 5 month 2 week old baby and its good to see how your baby is progressing with other similar aged kids....mind you, Alex has no teeth, is not rolling or crawling but is getting into the solids. Sorry, didn't mean to be nosey. I know every baby is different and I'm in no hurry for Alex to start crawling

Thats alright Linda, join in if you want. Yeah every baby is different and every baby progresses at a different rate, all part of human nature I presume.

Kim, Yeah Xanda can kind of sit up, still abit wobbly though, and always pulling himself up to sit, when he trying to pull himself up into sitting my plunket nurse calls them scrunchies and says it is good for their tummy muscles.

I discovered Xanda has a tooth today. Wasn't until he bit his daddy's finger that I lloked in his mouth and sure enough he has a little pointy tooth making its way up. Yay his first tooth and it is going to stay up this time and not just be a milk tooth.

Yay Xanda!!! Zac can sit up by himself now and a couple of times has got onto his kness into the crawling stance then collapsed. He can move backwards but not forwards but does this on his tummy somehow.

Cancel that sitting up by himself! He fell over backwards yesterday and gave himself a big fright - luckily the carpet is nice and soft!

Poor Zac, he will get there though, it is all part of their learning proces.
Yeah Xanda sits up but then leans forward so he can eat his feet and ends up falling over to the side. He quite good at turning around in circles on his stomach and seems happy with that because he seems to move to places he wants to go.
