Where is the best place for printing out digital photos? I have taken them to Fujifilm Image Service in the past and ended up spending hundreds and getting pictures with the tops of heads cut off.

i used to prefer to get mine printed at warehouse stationary, they were about the cheapest and i reckon best quality too, but they stopped doing them at the shop, didnt reckon it was getting used enough! arh! i was gutted. i go to a kodak shop now, pretty expensive and i dont like the quality of the photos either for some reason.... it pays to look around, i cant help you out with where to go.... sorry

take your memory card to camera house, and you can then print out the photos you want

I'm no help, we cut to the chase and bought our own photo printer! Works out cheaper especially when you get the cartridge/paper combo packs on special...we get around 200 prints(6x4 size) and works out around 30-40 cents per print. (and all heads are intact!)

I go to the Warehouse too! And if you're only printing a couple then they often do them in 15 mins while you look around!

Another vote for www.tickle.co.nz here... although, we do have a photo printer so we've only used tickle for extra stuff (like a calender we personalised and gave to my parents for christmas last year)

I printed some out at The Warehouse in Glenfield today - it's a kodak booth thingee, however the image quality was only so-so and they were still 55c a print. Camera House was 60c a print and the one's that I had previously done there were pretty average.
I'm really liking the look of tickle though. Looks really good and I can load the piccies up in Takapuna if I get sick of using all of our broadband allowance...

hubby just said that the reason the heads get chopped off is because the size of the file on a digital camera is different to a standard 4x6 pic, solution print them 4x5.5 (hubby works in kodak express)

ahhhh - with the kodak one I went to today there wasn't so much head chopping off as much as the photos themselves looked kind of strange. It was like they were freezeframed pictures of a screen or tv - they looked really digital.

Ah ha ! Thanks Anna ! Digitalmax (online) is the one we use too, just couldn't remember what it was called - good prints, don't look too grainy or pixelated, and it's well worth paying the little extra for delivery - very prompt service overall. Cheap too !
