Topic: Silly Males...rant!!! Posted: 03 June 2006 at 7:42pm |
Sometimes men are so odd.
We had my Grandparents over for dinner tonight. Which fair enough we see them quite a few times a week. But still they are older and I believe in respect and thinking of other peoples feelings etc!!
The other half decides to go and sit on the computer and look at the internet most of the time. He came out for dinner then buggered off again! I found it really rude. So I told him after they left I was not happy. He said I needed to get over it!
UGH!!!
Am I the only one with a sometimes very "self centred" ignorant male!!!
Or am I toooooo PRECIOUS????

Oh, that is rude! That said, my man can be like that too.
My s-sister and her hubby have just broken up. he had a tendency to just leave when people came over. He wouldn't say anything, just get in the car and go. One time he just went to bed without saying something to anyone. It's not nice! I guess we girls are just more social.

Errrrr... can't say I have that problem, but I do agree that it was incredibly rude ! I would have been absolutely furious too.

that is rude, I dont blame you for being mad. Sometimes my hubby doesnt say much, especially if its his family visiting cos he finds it hard to talk to his step mum etc but he would always at least stay there and try to make conversation

Yep I think thats rude. My besties hubby is like that and i hate it. Once my ex and i went to visit and mates hubby sat on playstation and never offered brendon (my ex) a turn. I was so embarrassed that cos brendon was not like that at all. It is a trait i really dislike in a man. My boys father was rude like that too. He would disappear when my friends turned up and get all snotty at me when they left. One of the many reasons we are no longer together!!!

Andy is the opposite, he always stays when we have people over, even if it is just my friends and i am desparate for him to go away so i can talk about him!!
This would bug me tho, you are not being precious. But then again, some people do have really differing views on manners and if he thinks this is ok you may have a hard time convincing him otherwise...
Good luck!

a little off topic...went to a friends place on saturday night for a birthday thingee and the guys sat out in the garage and played poker while the girls sat inside (in the warm ) and talked.
we gals spent most of the time whinging about our men and the small things that drive us crazy. funny thing was, we all basically said the same things!!
hehehe men huh! they are such funny creatures
