I've just found out that someone very close to me has had a serious nervous breakdown and is under the care of a team at the hosp. This is a term I take for granted but TBH, but as I've never had to think about it in detail, I don't know EXACTLY what a nervous breakdown entails....can anyone fill me in?
basically so stressed that they are unable to cope in their normal everyday life and have gone into crisis mode....and there are varying degrees of what a breakdown can be - from sitting watching tv all day, to being incoherent, to being mute and uncommunicative, to being upset at not being able to cope...
I am glad to hear they are getting help. Its a long path back for some people so BIG HUgs to you
having a massive 'hissy fit' also counts, trust me! I didn't realise I had a problem about 4 years ago until I lost it over something so small and starting throwing things etc out the window. Basically when the straw breaks the camel's back.
