If so did you child then have either reflux or colic.

My friend is a nurse in a very small town practice a nearly 80% of woman who took it had these problems with there babies afterwards.

I know i didnt take it and ryan had neither.

I only took it for 2 weeks cos the side effects were so horrible. Daniel has reflux but not colic.

I took elevit throughout my whole pregnancy and the 7 months while I breastfed.

No colic here, she may have had reflux as she was quite spilly but it never bothered her.

I took it for a couple of months until I decided it was making my all-day sickness worse and ditched it. JJ doesn't have reflux or colic either...

Didn't take it at all. Andrew didn't have any issues but Josh was a but refluxy.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

I took it three months prior to getting pregnant, well 5 actually, then whole pregnancy and 6 months while expressing adn Fay has no problems with reflux or colic, I think i can count on one hand the number of times she has thrown up in 2 years, usually cos they have been straight in my face but it's not that many

I didnt take elevit with my first and she had both reflux and colic.
Have taken it very briefly this time but found it made me feel so much worse so stopped.
Would be interesting to see the results of a clinical trial - assuming one was done as it is supplied by a very large drug company.

Ha, most likely much of the research was sponsored by said pharmaceutical company. The main evidence is about the folate it contains and its link to neural tube defects - but folate is also available through your GP/LMC - way cheaper for the same amount of folate.

And there is only one trial that has looked at Elevit vs "trace minerals" w only 5000 people, which isn't huge, esp cos it's only one study.

edited to make my comments more balanced!

I took Elevit during my entire pregnancy and for quite a while while b/f (I am still b/f and take it every now and then - one of our friends owns a pharmacy so gets it for me at a good price) and Ella has never had any problems.
