Topic: Two questions re Vasectomy and Teeth! Posted: 23 May 2008 at 9:54am |
Right....Would a tooth that broke in half and had (well still has) a filling in it give you bad breath if not seen too quickly?
Hubby and I have decided he needs to have the "snip"...and he is fine with it however...FOR SOME strange reason I feel awful putting him thru it....However we want no more kids and I am sick of doing the contraceptive thing...... Is that normal???

LOL @ title of thread All sorts of images ran through my head...
Don't know about the bad breath thing. Might be possible?
re. Snip - I'd say that is normal. We've been thinking about it but then I got mirena as I thought he was too young. We'll rethink it in 5 years when I get it removed.

We have talked about it after having baby #2 but then if anything happened in our relationship or if heaven forbid I died or something I still want him to have the option.
RE tooth: I would think so

Look at it this way he was there when you gave birth (I hope) and seen what we go through so having the snip it only take about 20 mins and its all done my DH has had one but I must admit I was didn't watch as the needle went in! (he wanted me in the room)

If you're sure that this is it for you, then I absolutely think he should be the one getting 'fixed'. My parents made a deal from the beginning that when they were done Dad would have the snip coz Mum did pregnancies and births, and I like that philosophy.
I just can't convince Willie to subscribe to it, which is strange coz I'd have thought a man who swears he doesn't want any more kids would be keen to do something about making sure he doesn't...

Oh and re: the tooth - bad breath would be the least of my worries - I'd be more worried that it'd start to bloody hurt!

I think some men have pre conceived ideas that things "wont work" ..or cant "perform".......Mark is dead happy after sitting recently on a plane down to Christchurch and then two flights back having to entertain Blake as I was just buggered......He said across the aisle "Screw this I am not ever travelling with more than two"...Book it in.
I wish I could just get my head over feeling odd for him...LOL

Teehee, is it completely evil that I would enjoy seeing Willie squirm for a few days after he'd had it done

I have said for DH to get the snip - it sure is a manly thing for him as he isn't that keen but hey I had the 3 kids!! it makes it hard as dh would have another kid tomorrow if i said yes. (me not gonna say yes though!)

yes broken tooth could cause bad breath, just keep the area clean , but the filling could spread further under the nerve , so as soon as your able to , get it seen.
and faster if it ends up being sensitive to hot and cold and hurting when you bite....

....hmm there is a movie where a lady gives a man a "irreversable vasectomy " with her teeth .
But bloody fair enough , he killed her daughter and had the cheek to shelter from a storm at her house ....(Last house on the Left )
Oh , if its your husband tell him to go fix his teeth, haha, just so you dont have to put up with the bad breath
Tell him otherwise it will spread to other teeth and he'll be wearing a denture before hes 50
BTW -any winz people, as in people on a benefit, you DO know dont you , that you get $300 dental treatment a year?
