Topic: Birthday pressie ideas Posted: 23 May 2008 at 3:53pm |
I have 2 birthdays coming up.
1st is a good (male) friend turning 30 and both DH and I are drawing a blank on what to get him
2nd is my best friends daughter turning 1 (although her mother and I are more like sisters to each other both being only children and we are both aunties to each others kids), and I am stumped on what to get her as they have heaps of toys and stuff as this is their 2nd daughter, and I would like to get her something a bit special.
Any ideas would be much appreciated. TIA

I have no idea when it comes to men, but depending on how much you want to spend, how about a small piece of jewellery for your friend's daughter? Like a bracelet with her name engraved on it or a small pendant?

I was going to suggest a charm bracelet. I have done this for my neice (and will do it for any other nieces). I then buy her a charm every birthday and she will get her last one when she turns 21. As she gets oldre she can come out and pick one with me.

*ohhhh* I do like that idea!! Though I think I'd have to start it for her sister too though! Might have to check that her parents weren't planning on anything like that. though I think they got her sister a solid bracelet when she turned 1, so a charm bracelet might be ok.

What about a magazine subscription for the 30th birthday present? If he's into cars, you can get top gear mag or bikes, there are heaps of bike mags out there.
