I read once that 6 hours sleep is considered "sleeping through the night" for a baby but I'm not so sure about that!
Alyssa started sleeping up to 6 hours from 8 weeks old, then from about 10 weeks old she started sleeping up to 8 hours. Now it's around 10 hours a night. I have always put her to bed at 9pm.

But Toby did the other night
Maya was 7 weeks. The rate these two are going I think they will be waking for 3 hourly bottles until they leave home...

Caitlin slept through the night from Day one on formula (7 weeks old).
We put her to bed for the night after her 10pm feed and I still have to wake her for her 6am feed.
The best advice we were given was to always make sure you do the exact same things each night so that baby KNOWS "big sleeptime" is coming. This is what we do in the evenings: feed at 6pm / playtime / sleep til 8pm / quiet time cuddles (with anyone who happens to be around my sis and her DF live with us at the mo) / bathtime / massage / bottle / bed.
Good luck Kelly - we all know how important uninterupted sleep is!

Ethan has been sleeping 7-8 hours at night for a week now except the last two nights. I think he is having a growth spurt.

kayla sleeps from 7pm till around 3am (trying to push back her last feed now) and that was after we started giving her a formula bottle as her last feed, so about 3 weeks now? (she would of been 8 weeks)

I'm not 100% sure on this, memories are a bit foggy, but probably around 10-12 weeks - that's on a regular basis though from about 10:30pm to 6:30-7am.

Both my girls didn't sleep through the night until they were weaned (b/f). From 6mos? to 11mos they woke once a night for a feed and just dropped it on the day I fully weaned them (onto water no less!).
I think you can be tough on it from 6mos onwards, I'll consider that next time around, I'm soooo inclined to be a softie when it comes to demand feeding

About 12 to 14 weeks for Olivia, it depends on the baby, I have a girl on one of my other sites who has 2 little boys, the first one was sleeping through the night from 8 weeks, the second is same age as Olivia and wakes up every 3-4 hours!

WAHT WHAT WHAT!!!!
Okay....does the fact that Blake was prem and has colic and reflux have anything to do with the fact that he has NEVER slept longer than 4-5 hours at night in a row!!!!!!
This is depressing ..Oh How I long to sleep from 9-10 to 6 in the morn.
