Hi I'm looking for some good advice to help me persuade my hubby to have another baby. Jazmyn is just over 4 months old and is amazing. Before I had her I was definately only having 1 child but now I've had her I'm thinking differently.

I'm welsh & my hubby is a kiwi and we have been living in NZ for almost 8 years. I love living here and we have lots of friends that are always willing to help & support us when needed but neither of us have any other family members here. I really feel it would be good for Jazmyn to have a sibling in case anything were to happen to either me or my hubby.

Things are tough financially as I was the main wage earner and we are just about managing to pay the bills and eat. This is why my hubby is adamant that Jazmyn will be the only one. I know she will have lots of friends but it's just not the same as having a brother or sister. I don't want to try for another straight away, I'm thinking when Jzmyn is 2-3 years old.

Has anyone got any ideas as to how I can change hubby's mind.

To be honest I think communication and time is going to be key. Things will be seeming to be harder at the moment but a year down the track hubby may be more open to it. Keep on talking to him...I'm sure you guys will work it out.

(sorry not much on advice but hope it helps a little)

I think in the early days when you are sleep-deprived etc, the last thing on your mind is another child, however a year or so later and things mybe different. I would say give him time and he may change his mind himself.

Especially 1 year +

I think it is only now that Zeke is interested in Hannah. Apparently she was "boring" up until she started to do "stuff"
Bloody boys.

Anyway, he'll come round. You could always try for the "Don't you want a son?"

We already have two, and want a large family. My husband has been saying "maybe two is enough" and things like that, with his main logic being that our youngest is under 1. Now that Josiah is nearly 9 months old, Nathaniel came to me and said "I'm ready to start trying for #3 soon".

Keep communicating, and make sure he knows the timeframe you are thinking of - 2 or so years away is alot different to next month!

To tell the truth, as cute as taine is, he is kinda boring, so Nikki, I can kinda understand Zeke's thinking. Jake is neat now, we can take him places and he is interested in things.
